The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel to our faith. Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Rome at Corinth, in approximately A.D.60, Paul was on third ministry journey. The book of Roman can be divided into eight sections: introduction, condemnation, justification, sanctification, glorification, selection, transformation, and conclusion. The book begins with man’s fall (Romans1:18) in contrast to Ephesians, which begins with God’s selection and predestination in eternity past); continues through Christ’s redemption, God’s justification, sanctification, transformation, conformation, and glorification; and, finally, touches the mystery of God in eternity past (Romans16:25). In the preceding verse the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel of faith; the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. However, since the gospel of God has come, the scene has changed. Now the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel to our faith.

The central thought of the book of Romans is that God’s salvation makes sinners His sons, who have His life and nature so that they can express Him, that they may become members of Christ to constitute the Body of Christ for His expression. Therefore, Sonship is stressed in chapter 8:14-17 says, “ For many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God, for you have not received a spirit of slavery bringing you into fear again, but you have received a spirit of Sonship in which we cry, Abba, Father! The Spirit himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God. And if Children, heirs also; on the one hand, heirs of God; on the other, joint heirs with Christ.  If indeed we suffer with Him that we may also be glorified with Him.” (Roman8:14-17). Apostle Paul encouraged the saints in Rome that they have received a spirit of Sonship , and they not only have been regenerated in their spirit and are growing in the divine life, but they also are living and walking by being led by the Spirit. Heirs are the sons of God who, through the transfiguration of their body in the stage of glorification, will be fully matured in every part of their being. Therefore, they will be qualified as the legal heirs to claim the divine inheritance.  “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers; (Roman8:28-29) and those whom He predestinated, these He also called. And those whom He called, these He also justified, and those whom He justified, these He also glorified. (v.30) what then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Indeed, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things? (vv.31-32) who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus who died and rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. (vv.33-34) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughter.” (vv.8:35-36) But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers, nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ((Roman8:37-39)

God has predestinated us not simply that we may be sanctified, spiritual, and victorious but that we may be fully conformed to the image of His Son. This is our destiny, determined by God in eternity past. Conformation is the end result of transformation. It includes the changing of our inward essence and nature, and it also includes the changing of our outward form, that we may match the glorified image of Christ, the God-man. In Philippians3:21 says, “ Who will transfigure the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory, according to His operation by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.” The transfiguration of our body is the ultimate consummation of God’s salvation. In His salvation God first regenerated our spirit (john3:6), now is transforming our soul (Rom.12:2), and consummately will transfigure our body, making us the same as Christ in all three parts of our being.

The purpose of God’s foreknowledge, predestination, and calling is to prepare and produce many brothers for His firstborn Son (John20)  that , on the one hand, they , together with God’s firstborn Son, may be the many sons of God with the divine life and nature for the expression of God, and that, on the other hand, they may be the many members who constitute the Body of God’s firstborn Son as the corporate expression of God in His firstborn Son, which is the fullness of God’s firstborn Son, that is, the fullness of God in His firstborn Son. (Eph.1:23;3:19).  Justification is a bridge that brings sinners, who are redeemed by Christ, from the law’s condemnation (Romans3:19) into God’s acceptance (5:1-2). In this acceptance God works to conform them to the image of His Son until He brings them into His glory. (Heb.2:10) Glorification is the step in God’s complete salvation in which God will completely saturate our body of sin, which is of death and is mortal (Romans 7:24;8:11;6:6), with the glory of His life and nature according to the principle of His regenerating our spirit through the Spirit . In this way He will transfigure our body, conforming it to the resurrected, glorious body of His Son.(Phil.3:21) This is  the ultimate step in God’s complete salvation, wherein God obtains a full expression, which will ultimately be manifested in the New Jerusalem in the coming age.

My friends, In God’s salvation, He,  first regenerated our spirit, now is transforming our soul, and consummately will transfigure our body, making us the same as Christ in all three parts of our being. Why, many saints are not able to reach to the stage of glorification?  Because their soul being attacked by worry and anxiety of this world, which comes from Satan, is the sum total of human life and disturbs the believers’ life of living Christ.

Be aware of the Biblical precepts of “Mark: Χαραγμα”(charagma in Rev.13:17) According to the Revelation 13:17 indicates “Mark”, in Greek “Χαραγμα charagma”, it portrays as “Beast”- “False Prophet”. In this era technology named “tattoo” and it’s already available today. Christians aware of this “Mark” and keep themselves from having tattoo in their hands and bodies. In Revelation 13:11-18 indicates the second Beast out of the Earth this other beast, the false prophet will come out of the Jews this one may be Judas Iscarior (John6:70-71) because after Judas died, he went to his own place (Acts.1:25) not to his people as other did. Geographically, this false prophet will come up out of the earth, and figuratively, he will come out of the Jews. This False Prophet looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon. That he appears to be a lamb but speaks like the dragon, Satan, indicates his falsity. The false prophet will employ satanic power to perform great signs, such as calling down fire out of heaven as Elijah did. Thus, it will be difficult for people to distinguish the real prophets from the false prophet. “And the second beast (False Prophet) causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the freemen and the slaves, to be given a “MARK” on their right hand or on their forehead, and that no one may be able to buy or sell except him who has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name. The number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” (Rev.13:16-18). The number of the beast is the number of a man. Some Theologians view this man is Roman emperor Caesar Nero, who is the coming Antichrist. The number represented by the Hebrew letters of the name Caesar Nero is 666 as follows,

 Nε נ 50   ρ      200דω ז   6 ν ב   50 = 306

 Και  ק  100     σα ס60  ρד   200      =  360 + 306 total 666

And by this mark the second beast will control the population of the world. No one will be able to survive economically with this mark. (v.17). The reference to wisdom in verse 18 means the Tribulation saints will understand what is happening when they see this mark and its number required of all people on the earth.

All Saints, Christians, we need to remind ourselves again and again that the love of God is the source of His eternal salvation. This love is in Christ and has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans5:5). Nothing can separate us from the love of God. (vv.38-39). In God’s salvation this love to us has become the love of Christ.(v.35), which does many marvelous things for us through the grace of Christ until God’s complete salvation is accomplished in us. These marvelous things provoke God’s enemy to attach us with all kinds of sufferings and calamities (vv.35-36) However, because of our response to the love of God in Christ, these attacks have become benefits to us (v.28). Therefore, we more than conquer in all our afflictions and calamities (v.37).  In another words, We are in God’s acceptance enjoying the source of this salvation, which is God’s love in Christ, from which we cannot be separated by any person, matter, or thing, and, on the other hand, we are in God’s life being conformed by the Lord Spirit to reach the ultimate goal of this salvation that is, to enter into the incomparable divine glory and be glorified together with God. (Roamns8:18, 30). Because of God’s unchanging love for us and the fact that Christ has accomplished everything on our behalf, neither tribulation nor persecution can suppress or defeat us; rather, in all these things we more than overcome and conquer through Him who loved us.

Have you left the first love to Christ? by Rev.Katherine Liu Bruce

Weekly message: Have you left the first love to Christ?

by Rev.Katherine Liu Bruce

Christian Arts Ministries: Biblical precepts &Gospel                         June20, 2021

My friends have you ever learned about the biblical precepts of peace, love with faith and grace according to Apostle Paul and Apostle John both letters the strength and weakness of Ephesus church? The book of Ephesians and book of revelation 2:2-7 help us to glimpse the biblical view of first love with faith, peace and grace. Let us discover the Apostle’s letter to the church in Ephesus, renew our vision, and regain the first love to Christ.

Apostle Paul’s blessing to Ephesians mentioned in Ephesians 6:24-24, said, “Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruptibility.” The reason the apostle inserted love between peace and grace is that the only way we can be kept in a situation of peace is by continually enjoying the Lord in love. Based on Paul’s perspective love is crucial. He spoke of love in relation to peace and grace. It implicates that love is needed to preserve us in a condition of peace. Love with Faith is the means by which we partake of and experience Christ. (1 Tim.1:14). Faith is for receiving Him (John1:12), and Love is for enjoying Him.(John14:23) Paul’s letter emphasis on “ Love with Faith” not “Love and Faith” this indicates that we need faith as a match and support for our love. Love with faith is needed. This is the conclusion of the book of Ephesians on the church. The church needs to enjoy Christ in love with faith, which operated through love (Gal.6:6).

Love comes from God to us and faith goes from us to God. We are kept in peace by the coming of God’s love to us and by the going of our faith to Him. By means of this traffic of love and faith, peace remains our portion. We are kept in peace by coming of God’s love to us and by going of our faith to Him. This traffic also keeps us in the continual supply of grace, in the enjoyment of the Lord. (v.24). Love is from God; it originates with God, not with us. Eventually, however, God’s love becomes our love. God’s love for us becomes our love for Him. Grace is needed for us to live a church life that fulfills God’s eternal purpose and solves God’s problem with His enemy. The enjoyment of the Lord as grace is with those who love Him.

The book of Ephesians emphasizes and also concludes with our love toward the Lord. In the book of Ephesians the phrase in LOVE, which is rich in feeling, is used repeatedly (1:4.3:17; 4:2;15-16;5:2). However, the church in Ephesus was rebuked by the Lord because the church had lost their first love toward Him. (Revelation 2:4).The main point revealed in the book of Ephesians is that the church, which is the Body of Christ, is also the Bride of Christ, Christ’s wife. With the Body, the emphasis is on taking Christ as life; with the wife, the emphasis is on Loving Christ. Therefore, the book of Ephesians emphasizes and also concludes with our love toward the Lord.

The weakness of the church in Ephesus

The church in Ephesus, the recipient of this Epistle, failed in the matter of loving the Lord, such a failure became the source of and main reason for the failure of the church throughout the age. (Rev.2-3). As Revelation 2:2-4 says,

I know your works and your labor and your endurance and that you cannot bear evil men; and you have tried those who call themselves apostles and are not, and have found them to be false; and you have endurance and have borne all things because of My name and have not grown weary. But I have one thing against you, that you have left your first love. ”

The Greek word for “first” is the same as that translated “best” in Luke15:22. Our first love toward the Lord must be the best love for Him. As the Body of Christ (Eph.1:23), the church is a matter of life; as the new man (Eph.2:15), it is a matter of the person of Christ; and as the bride of Christ (John3:29), it is a matter of love.

The first Epistle to the Ephesians tells us that for the church life we need to be strengthened into our inner man that Christ may make His home in our hearts, that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to know the knowledge –surpassing love of Christ, that we may be filled unto all the fullness of God (Eph.3:16-19); and it is for the church life that grace is with all those who love the Lord Jesus (Eph.6:24).

Now this second epistle to the Ephesians reveals that the degradation of the church begins with our leaving the first love toward the Lord. Nothing but love can keep us in a proper relationship with the Lord. The church in Ephesus had good works, labored for the Lord, endured suffering, and tried the false apostles. (vv.2-3), but the church in Ephesus left her first love toward the Lord. The leaving of the first love is the source of all the degradation in the succeeding stages of the church. The Lord urged them in the Revelations2:5-6, "Remember therefore where you have fallen from and repent and do the first works; but if not, I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you    repent…To him who overcomes, to him I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the  Paradise of God.” (Rev.2:5-6).

Apostle Paul’s encouragement to the church in Ephesus

Apostle Paul’s letter emphasized and encouraged saints in Ephesus “Bing rooted and grounded in LOVE. The letter said as follows,

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father, of whom every family in the heavens and on earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the breadth and length and height and depth are And to know the knowledge –surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God. (Ephesians3:14-19)”

Nothing but LOVE can keep us in a proper relationship with the Lord. My friends, have you failed to love the Lord? Or left your first love toward the Lord? You may have good church service, or had good works, labored for the Lord, endured suffering, and tried the false apostles, but you left your first love toward the Lord.  You may have borne all things because of His name and have not grown weary. But unconsciously, you have left your first love. May the book of Ephesians and Relation 2:1-7 help you to re-exam your first love to the Lord. To him who overcomes, to him I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.” (Rev.2:6). May the peace, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be to you, May the grace be with you all who love our Lord Jesus Christ.

The battle on the great day of God Almighty By Rev. Katherine Liu Bruce

Weekly Message: The battle on the great day of God Almighty                          6272018

By Rev. Katherine Liu Bruce Christian Arts Ministries

Living in the United States of America, there are many ministers and prayer warriors face the spiritual warfare, and forces. It results in frustration, self-defeating, rejection, confusion, grudges, despairs, and hesitate to explore some scenarios. Many self-defeating and degraded Christians faced spiritual conflicts, couldn’t overcome (or unable to be set free from) the bondages of sins, and darkness, then gave up the faith in Christ. Ultimately, they became the bitter vessels, blamed others and cursed God because of their circumstances. As Revelation 16:8-11, 18, 21 had foretold as follows,

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they coursed the name of God, who had control over the plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. (16:8-9)

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. (16:10)Then there came flashed of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth… from the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.” (16:21).

“The battle on the great day of God Almighty the war will consist of several battles, beginning with Antichrist’s campaign into Egypt (Dan.11:40-45) and including a siege of Jerusalem (Zech.14:2) as well as the final battle at Armageddon. (Rev.16:16).”[1] Three evil spirits looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, beast, and false prophet. The dragon is Satan. The beast is Antichrist (Rev.13:1-3), the false prophet, the lieutenant. (13:11-18). “They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.” (Rev.16:14).  Jesus did warm us, “Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed.”  (Rev.16:15). “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.” (Rev.22:7). Apostles John unveils these visions and awakens the saints keep watching and wait patiently upon the Lord. Once we know the truth, the truth shall set us free, and aware of the spiritual warfare.

Christian’s faith is truth encounter

The spiritual prayer warriors and ministers who fight for the battle of Christ, in Christ, they are victors. They pray without ceasing for the nations, stand for the Biblical principles. These fighters have strong faith in Christ, mood swings cannot touch their joy, despair cannot control over them nor do the grudges corrode them.[2] In Christ, they are victors, not victims, this is faith realization. For the sins cannot be the master to rule over the servants of God.

Unfortunately, there are many degraded and self-defeating Christians became hardened hearts, and refused to believe the Word of God, nor listen to the voice of God, because of their  circumstances resulted by sins. They were the salts on the earth, but lost saltiness, and let Satan gained the foothold. More shameful is that some self-defeating Christians even let the unbelievers and the secular psychologists diagnose them as mental illness, the term such as “schizophrenia, paranoia, psychosis, neurological chemical imbalance, Bai-polar, mania and depression”. And force them to take medication, and some results in the drugs abuse, regardless of a spiritual battle of the mind.

Author Neil Anderson opened up the blind sight of our spiritual eyes. Satan is spiritual beings; distract people through temptation, accusation and deception. Through a book named, “the Bondage Breaker”, Anderson explored the Psychologists and psychiatrists routinely see patients who are hearing voices: chemical imbalance is the standard diagnosis. But he debated, “How can a chemical produce a personal thought? How our neurotransmitters can involuntarily and randomly fire in such a way that they create thoughts that we are opposed to thinking? Secular psychologists limited to a natural worldview attempt to offer natural explanations for mental problems while Christians are encouraged to believe, declare, and act upon the truth of God’s Word.[3] “Satan and his demons are spiritual beings; they do not have material substance, so we cannot see them or any spiritual being with our natural eyes, nor hear them with our ears. Satan’s only weapon is deception.”[4] But the Bible stated, The one in us is greater than the one in the world. In perfect love drives away the fear, for God is love. We can command whatever frightens us to leave in the name of Jesus. Believers have the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit. (Eph.6:14-17). Believers can pray or communicate with God in their mind and spirit, for God knows that thoughts and intents of their heart. (Heb.4:12). They can have unspoken communication with heavenly father. But when they under a direct attack from Satan, for instance in their room at night, they need to exercise their authority in Christ by speaking out loud, since the evil one does not have the power to completely know believers’ thoughts.[5] As James says, submit therefore to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7).  The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. (2Cor.10:4).

Accusation is one of Satan’s primary weapons, when Satan accused Joshua’s filthy clothes day and night; God vindicated and defeated Satan’s accusation. By the blood of lamb, and the testimony of the saints, believers can overcome the Satan’s accusation.

Christians’ awareness

In order to live a victorious life there are few factors as followers,

1). Keep testifying Jesus Christ died on the cross at the Calvary has powerfully defeated the Satan. Through Jesus’ redemption the believers have purchased back to Heavenly father. Christians need to do is keep testifying the Christ and declare the victory of their life in Christ.

2). A desire of heart to trust.  In the New Testament, Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man; the demon-possessed man had cured. (Luke8:26-39) Jesus also healed many sicknesses, for the person who came to Jesus had a desire of heart to be healed and trust.

3). Keep praying and fasting. In some cases require the believers to fast in order to defeat the demons, pray without ceasing, and declare the victory.

4). Repentant and obedience. An unrepentant heart, disobedience, and reject the voice of God, it results the spiritual conflicts, weakness, and many sickness. (John8:44-49). Adam and Eve didn’t stand on the ground of obeying God’s instruction. It resulted in spiritual dead and cursed.

5). Recognizing and partaking the cup in worthy manner. Many Christians’ weakness and sicknesses were resulted by partaking cup and bread without recognizing the body of Christ. (1 Corin.10:14-22).

6) Applying the Sword of the Spirit.  Christians’ best spiritual weapon is Sword of the Spirit which is Word of God. And take up the whole armor of God, having girded loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and the gospel of peace. (Eph.6:13-17).

7). Keep perfect love in Christ. Keep serving the Lord through serve the people, and family with perfect love in Christ, for God is love, and the perfect love will drive away the fear.

8). Keep conscience clear and forgive one another. An unforgiving heart will blind one’s inner man’s conscience, to keep conscience clear, Christians must forgive one another.

9) Completely humble and compassionate. A meekness heart like quiet water, calm the soul. A proud heart gives Satan the foothold to dominate one’s mind, act in flesh implosively, and speak malice, full of envy, deceit, hypocrisy and slander of every kind. God resists proud, but give grace to the humble.

10). Renounce the freedom in Christ. Christians have right to be free and gain the victor in the battle of their mind. For where the spirit of Lord is, there is liberty. Christians need to renounce the freedom in Christ, and have nothing to do with the ancestors Adam and Eve’s sins. Because second Adam, Christ Jesus had paid the price for the sins once for all. By His blood shedding on the cross, believers are redeemed, and their sins are forgiven.

  Conclusion,

Where the spirit of Lord is, there is liberty. Christians’ faith in Christ is the key element to be set free from the bondage of sins and sickness; by declaration, repentance, and act upon the truth of God’s word. Believe that Jesus has already delivered Christians from Satan, and sins. The cross of Christ at cavalry has defeated the Satan, sins, and dead. Christians need to be still, steadfast and believe the battle belong to Christ. Satan (dragon), Beast (Anti-Christ) and false prophet’s schemes are deceitful, full of confusion, deception, and lies. (Jh.8:44). At the ending time, even the idol can speak, demonstrate the miracles, dominate the economy and refuse to have business with certain groups, such as those whose forehead without mark (tattoo). It will be very difficult to recognize the Christ. Apostle Peter encouraged disciples, “The end of all things is near, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”(1Pet.4:7-8).

In order to live a Christian life in victory, there are ten factors that Christians need to be aware with. 1). Keep testifying Jesus Christ died on the cross at the Calvary has powerfully defeated the Satan, through the Lamb of God; he had purchased the believers back to Heavenly father. And declare the victory of their life in Christ. 2). A desire of heart to believe and trust. 3).Keep praying and fasting in some cases. 4). Repentant and obedience. 5). Recognizing and partaking the cup in worthy manner. 6). Applying the sword of the Spirit which is Word of God. 7). Keep perfect love in Christ, for perfect love drives away the fear. 8). Keep conscience clear and forgive one another. 9) Completely humble and compassionate. 10) Renounce the freedom in Christ. The ancestors Adam and Eve’s sins through the second Adam, Jesus who died on the cross, the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ had set us free. Christians have right to be free and gain the victor in the battle of their mind. For where the spirit of Lord is, there is liberty. In Psalm 2:9 states, you will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery. God gave Christ authority to rule over the nations; Christ gives the same authority to His overcomers. And encourages disciples, He who overcomes and he who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.” (Rev. 2:26). My friends, May God strengthen you to be the victors, and overcomers.

A better country- heavenly one, the city of living God. By Rev.Katherine Liu Bruce

Weekly message: A better country- heavenly one, the city of living God.

By Rev.Katherine Liu Bruce Christian Arts Ministries: Biblical precepts & Gospel music

June 6,2021

We have a better country a heavenly one; the city of living God and the foundation whose architect and builder is God. My friends, have you ever wondered what is the different between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant? What is the hope for Christianity?  What kind of city that God promised to His people? What kind of city Christians shall look forward to dwell together?  Today, let us discover a better city, the spiritual city, eternal in the heavens.

According to the book of Hebrews 11 indicates a city, the foundations whose builder is God. When God called Abraham to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, he obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country, he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations whose architect and builder is God. (Heb.11:8-10)

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better county – a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. (Heb.11:13-16)

What kind of city God has prepared to them?

According to the book of Hebrews 12:18-24, unveils the vision and answer, it says, “You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word bespoken to them because they could not bear what was commanded: “if even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.” But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God; you have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the first born, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. (Hebrews12:18, 22-24)

The difference between the Old Covenant (law) and the New Covenant (the gospel) are contrasted by comparing Mount Sinai, where the law was given, with Mount Zion, the spiritual city, eternal in the heavens and symbolic of the gospel of grace. Therefore, Apostle Paul emphasized that Christians are saved by grace, not by work. Though Jesus the “mediator”, we enter in the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly. The church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven, which are believers who belong to the church, the Body of Christ, Spirit of righteous men made perfect.      As Apostle John described the city in the book of Revelation 21, “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”(Rev.21:23-27). And “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husbanded. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe ever tear from their eyes, there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed.” (Rev.21:2-4).  The New Jerusalem, heavenly city will be the abode of all the saints. (Heb.12:22-24). The bride of Christ (Rev.21:9-10), and the place Christ is preparing for His people (John14:2). During the Millennium the New Jerusalem apparently will be suspended over the earth, and it will be the dwelling place of all believers during eternity. (Rev.21:1-8).

My friends, what kind of country and city are you longing for? And look forward to participate with? Scriptures instructed certain group of people would not part of this Holy City, New Jerusalem. Who are they? “The unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is second death.” (Rev.21:8).  As Moses said, “I am trembling with fear”. And the author of Hebrews urged three times, “Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Heb.3:7,15; 4:7). For our God is a consuming fire. (Heb.12:28-29). Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts… (Heb.3:8, 15; 4:7). Joshua (Moses’ successor) could not lead all the people into the rest of dwelling in their promised land because of their unbelief. Likewise the believer today cannot enjoy a fully satisfying Christian life unless he believes all the promises of God, and even then he looks forward to that perfect future rest. The divine promise still holds good, the believer may enter into God’s rest through faith. This is true both of salvation and sanctification. Rest in the Christian life comes through complete reliance on God’s promises and full surrender to His will. (2Cor.5:7;Col.2:6)

To those who are believers shall work by faith not by sight. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. (Heb.11:6). Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and keep on worshiping God acceptably with reverence and awe. And fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, continually run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  And looking forward to the city with foundations whose architect and builder is God. A better country – a heavenly one, a city God has prepared for us.
