Proverbs 21 (KJV)
¹ The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD,
as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
² Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
³ To do justice and judgment is more acceptable
to the LORD than sacrifice.
⁴ An high look, and a proud heart, and the
plowing of the wicked, is sin.
⁵ The thoughts of the diligent tend only to
plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
⁶ The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is
a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
⁷ The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them;
because they refuse to do judgment.
⁸ The way of man is froward and strange: but as
for the pure, his work is right.
⁹ It is better to dwell in a corner of the
housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
¹⁰ The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his
neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
¹¹ When the scorner is punished, the simple is
made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
¹² The righteous man wisely considereth the
house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
¹³ Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the
poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
¹⁴ A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a
reward in the bosom strong wrath.
¹⁵ It is joy to the just to do judgment: but
destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
¹⁶ The man that wandereth out of the way of
understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
¹⁷ He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man:
he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
¹⁸ The wicked shall be a ransom for the
righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
¹⁹ It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than
with a contentious and an angry woman.
²⁰ There is treasure to be desired and oil in
the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
²¹ He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
²² A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
²³ Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
²⁴ Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
²⁵ The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
²⁶ He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
²⁸ A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
²⁹ A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
³⁰ There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
³¹ The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
箴 21 (CKJVGT)
¹ 王的心在 耶和華手中，好像河水隨意流轉。
² 人所行的，在自己眼中都看為正；唯有 耶和華衡量人心。
³ 行仁義公平比獻祭更蒙 耶和華悅納。
⁴ 眼高心傲，並惡人耕地，皆為罪惡。
⁵ 殷勤籌劃的，足致豐裕；行事急躁的，都必缺乏。
⁶ 以說謊之舌求財，乃取死之人反覆的妄行。
⁷ 惡人所搶奪的必將自己掃除；因他們不肯按公平行事。
⁸ 人的道路乖僻怪異；至於純潔的人，他所作的乃是正確。
⁹ 寧可住在房頂的角上，不在寬闊的房屋與爭吵的婦人同住。
¹⁰ 惡人的心樂人受禍；他眼並不喜悅鄰舍。
¹¹ 褻慢的人受刑罰，愚蒙的人就得智慧；智慧人受訓誨，便得知識。
¹² 義人智慧地思想惡人的家，知道 神因為惡人的邪惡而傾倒他們。
¹³ 塞耳不聽窮人呼求的，他將來呼求也不蒙聽允。
¹⁴ 暗中送的禮物挽回怒氣；懷中搋的餽贈止息暴怒。
¹⁵ 秉公行義使義人喜樂；敗壞必臨到作孽之人。
¹⁶ 偏離通達道路的，必住在死人的會中。
¹⁷ 愛宴樂的，必致窮乏；好酒，愛膏油的，必不富足。
¹⁸ 惡人必作義人的贖價，犯法的人代替正直人。
¹⁹ 寧可住在曠野，不與爭吵使氣的婦人同住。
²⁰ 智慧人家中積蓄寶物膏油；愚昧人隨得來隨花盡。
²¹ 追求公義仁慈的，就尋得生命、公義，和尊榮。
²² 智慧人爬上勇士的城牆，傾覆他所倚靠的堅壘。
²³ 謹守口與舌的，就保守自己免受災難。
²⁴ 心驕氣傲的人名叫褻慢，都是行事傲怒。
²⁵ 懶惰人的心願將他殺害，因為他手不肯作工。
²⁶ 有終日貪得無饜的；義人卻施捨，並不吝惜。
²⁷ 惡人的祭物是可憎的；何況他存惡意來獻呢？
²⁸ 作假見證的必滅亡；唯有聽真情而言的，其言長存。
²⁹ 惡人硬著臉面；至於正直人，他卻指引他的道。
³⁰ 沒有智慧、聰明、謀略能以敵擋 耶和華。
³¹ 馬是為打仗之日預備的；安穩乃在乎 耶和華。
